  • HYALASE®

Hyalase , also known as Hyaluronidase , belongs to a group of enzymes that play a crucial role in accelerating the breakdown of hyaluronic acid (HA).
In medical treatment, this drug is used by injection experts to restore and remove fillers in various situations. It is especially useful in emergency cases when fillers have been accidentally injected into blood vessels, which can lead to complications. In addition, it is applied when the patient is not satisfied with the result after a filler treatment based on hyaluronic acid.
The availability of Hyalase at all clinics that perform injections with hyaluronic acid is of the utmost importance. This enables quick and safe removal of fillers and prevents potential complications.
It is worth noting that Hyalase is the only preparation that effectively breaks down hyaluronic acid-based fillers and the only agent that can quickly remedy complications that may arise.
Before treatment, a spot test is done to rule out allergy.

BOTOX

How does botox work?

Botox works by blocking the impulse from the nerve to the smaller facial muscles that cause wrinkles and lines. This results in the muscle not being able to tense or contract and staying relaxed. Only the treated muscles are affected, which means that facial expressions are kept normal. After the treatment, the skin feels softer and smoother.

What is botox used for?

Botox is used in both medical and aesthetic treatments and can be advantageously used to, among other things, reduce wrinkles and folds in the forehead, crow's feet, fine lines and eyebrow lifting.
Botox can also be used for medical purposes, for example in the jaw muscle during teeth grinding or to treat migraines.
The treatment can be combined with filler treatments.

How does the treatment work?

The treatment is well-proven, safe and quick. Botox is injected in microdoses with a thin needle into the small facial muscles. As the treatment is quick and the needle is thin, the treatment is not particularly unpleasant.
The treatment usually takes a maximum of 15 minutes and some may experience a slight redness after the treatment that subsides during the first day. The area should not be massaged as this can result in the substance spreading and also nearby muscles being affected.

How long does the effect last after a treatment?

The effect varies from person to person, but generally it lasts for 3-6 months. After repeated treatments, the effect lasts longer, which means that over time you need to perform the treatments less often.

What should I avoid after a treatment?

You should avoid alcohol, intense exercise and air travel for at least 24 hours after treatment.

Are there any side effects?

In some cases, redness and tenderness may occur in the treated area. Headache may occur 1-2 days after the treatment.

FILLERS

What do fillers consist of?

The vast majority of today's fillers consist of hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the body. The amount of hyaluronic acid decreases sharply with age, which means that we experience that the skin loses elasticity, elasticity and volume.

How long do fillers last?

The durability of fillers is very individual. It may depend on the type of fillers used, metabolism, which area has been treated, etc. Normally, fillers last for 6-18 months.
Botox can also be used for medical purposes, for example in the jaw muscle during teeth grinding or to treat migraines.
The treatment can be combined with filler treatments.

Do you get anesthesia?

Revolax fillers contain anaesthetic. You can also receive anesthesia before the treatment in the form of anesthetic ointment (Emla).

Is it possible to remove fillers?

It is possible to remove fillers using an antidote called hyalase.

Is it possible to combine different filler brands?

Some fillers can be combined well. Contact Caroline at Delatur if you want to know more.

Can I perform a filler treatment if I am pregnant?

One should not undergo treatment during pregnancy.

What should I avoid after a treatment?

You should avoid vigorous exercise, make-up on the treated area, air travel and alcohol for at least 24 hours after the treatment.

Can I use makeup after a filler treatment?

As a filler treatment involves needling, make-up on the treated area must be avoided for 24 hours.

How great results can be achieved with fillers?

A lot can be achieved with fillers. Sometimes you need to do the treatment several times to achieve the desired result. The result also largely depends on your conditions. At a consultation with Caroline, you will find out what results you can expect from a filler treatment.

HYALASE®

How does the treatment work?

The treatment involves careful needling in the specific areas where unwanted filler is to be removed. To gradually dissolve the hyaluronic acid in the desired area, we mix the material with table salt. In connection with the treatment, an initial swelling may occur due to the table salt, but this subsides within a short time.
A complete treatment normally takes around 10 minutes.
Before a treatment, a spot test is done to rule out allergies.

What result can I expect?

Immediately during and shortly after the treatment, you will notice that the area swells more than usual, and this is because of the treatment preparation. Hyalase® is effective on fillers based on hyaluronic acid, which is what most fillers consist of today. However, it does not work on fillers that contain silicone or fat.
The breakdown of hyaluronic acid is permanent, but in the meantime your own natural hyaluronic acid in the tissue will also break down. It can give a feeling that the area feels a little empty and that it loses some elasticity. But it is important to know that this result is not permanent. The body will gradually start producing natural hyaluronic acid again, and after about 2-4 weeks you will see the final result.
It is common for people to want to fill in the area with a new filler treatment after a while. This can be done approximately 4 weeks after a Hyalase treatment if desired.

Are there any risks?

After treatment, you may experience common reactions similar to infection symptoms. These may include redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising and tenderness at the site where you received the injection. Bruising may be visible for a long time. It is important to know that the treatment can affect the body's natural production of hyaluronic acid, which is important for the skin's elasticity. But over time, the skin will regain its elasticity as your own hyaluronic acid production returns to normal.
To avoid possible complications, we recommend that you refrain from exercise, sauna, alcohol and massage/peeling in the treated areas for the next 24 hours after the treatment. This will help ensure you have a smooth and safe recovery period.

How many treatments are required?

The number of treatments required varies from person to person. Sometimes older and harder fillers may take longer to break down and require more treatments to achieve the desired result. If you have softer fillers or areas that have recently been treated, you may see full effect within a few hours to two weeks.
It is important not to exceed two treatments to remove fillers in the same area. The first time, the free hyaluronic acid is broken down, and if there are any remaining fillers that are encapsulated, an additional treatment may be needed to achieve the desired result.

How many treatments should I do for optimal results?

4-6 treatments at 1-2 week intervals.

Do I need to do a hyalase treatment?

Filler removal is used to gradually break down hyaluronic acid (HA), i.e. fillers. It is most often used to treat lumps, asymmetry or to correct a failed filler treatment.
Before a filler removal treatment, you undergo a facial analysis where you and your therapist talk about why you want to remove the filler and what you expect to achieve. Note that fillers that are not based on hyaluronic acid, such as fat or silicone, cannot be broken down with filler removers. It is also important that you are not allergic to the material, so we always perform an allergy test before the treatment to ensure your safety.
We recommend that you first contact the clinic where you received your filler treatment if you need correction. If for some reason you do not want to go back to the same clinic or if it has been a long time since your treatment, you can seek help from us.

PROFHILO®

What is Profhilo®?

Profhilo® is a type of injectable product based on hyaluronic acid that is used to hydrate the skin and improve its structure. What is unique about Profhilo® is that it does not contain BDDE and has a high concentration of hyaluronic acid without the need to add other substances. It has a gel consistency that allows it to be applied evenly and smoothly over large areas, including places that are normally difficult to treat with traditional fillers, such as the neck, décolleté and hands.
Profhilo® differs from ordinary fillers in that it spreads quickly over a large area. We always choose the best products and manufacturers for our treatments.
For each treatment, you have a discussion with your therapist where you decide what is best for you.

How does a treatment work?

The hyaluronic acid is gently injected with small, thin needles at five specific locations on each side of your face. What distinguishes Profhilo® from traditional filler treatments is that it is injected more superficially under the skin. To do this, your therapist uses a fine cannula that ensures that the hyaluronic acid is distributed evenly under the skin.

How many treatments should I do?

You will notice clear results as early as two weeks after your first treatment. To achieve the very best result, we suggest a treatment plan that includes two treatments with a break of four weeks between them.

What result can I expect?

The result of the Profhilo® treatment varies depending on your individual conditions and the amount of material used. The treatment gives you skin that feels more hydrated and youthful. You will notice changes immediately, but the full results are usually visible about four weeks after the treatment.
To achieve the best effect, we usually recommend a follow-up treatment after four weeks.

Are there any risks?

Common side effects include swelling, soreness and bruising, but these are usually temporary and disappear over time. Less common side effects may include infection and occlusion. During your consultation, you will receive more detailed information about the treatment's specific uses and possible risks.
Please note that we do not perform the treatment on pregnant or breastfeeding people for safety reasons.
There are a few important things to keep in mind after treatment:
Avoid sunbathing and going to saunas and steam baths in the near future.
- Do not use make-up on the treated areas for the first 12 hours after the treatment.
- Avoid consuming alcohol for 24 hours after the treatment.
- Stay away from intense exercise for 24 hours.
